Yes, despite what Guiness might say, we took the world's largest colour
photograph,
seen here in the Museum of Civilization in Hull, (Ottawa), Canada.
It measures approximately 265 feet long by 50 feet high and shows the forest
background for the native village diorama. Shot as a series of carefully
overlapping
2 inch transparencies on Vancouver Island, it was made from digitally plotting
the image onto rolls of scrim fabric which were later carefully matched, seamed and hung.
The result is a virtually perfect, nearly life-size depiction of the forest
from any viewing angle
accessable to the visitor in front of the diorama.
